Falko ATR 72-600 Simulator Reaches Operational Milestone
London, April 26th 2021 – Falko’s first ATR72-600 Axis Simulator, based in Dublin and operated by Simtech Aviation has reached 6 months in active service. The new simulator was successfully approved by the Irish certification authority in October 2020 with the first customer flight 2 days after.
The Simulator is well positioned to serve customers in Europe and in other areas of the world where these aircraft are in common use such as Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Our partner Simtech Aviation has recently received approval by the Irish Aviation Authority under EASA to deliver Type Rating Training. This will enable them to deliver a range of wet lease services to serve ATR operators both locally and further afield.
James Greenstreet EVP Sales & Marketing adds; “After a steady 6 months of operation, the additional approval for Type Rate Training by the IAA enables a comprehensive training capability now being offered on our ATR-600 Full Flight Simulator which is of great benefit to ATR operators”
The promising signs that the world is exiting from the restrictions on people movement imposed over the last 14 months suggests the aviation industry will see a return to a strong demand for domestic travel, with Falko’s ATR72-600 simulator well positioned to assist operators.
With limited spare capacity, it is advisable that airlines secure training slots for their crews now to ensure they are well placed to support the increased capacity demands as the industry starts its’ recovery this year.
