Falko Design Challenge

Colleagues Marcus Rowley, Kevin Hill and Quinlan Saint will be part of a panel, judging 10 groups of students on their first-term project, which, is building a glider.

During their first term at University of Hertfordshire, they will be tasked with building a model glider from basic materials and tooling. Falko are sponsoring this event and will be providing prizes based on 3 categories which are,

• Furthest Glide Distance
• Best presentation / slide deck – scored for professional appearance, overall content, and marketing page
• Most innovative– could be an innovative aircraft design / shape (i.e., box wing design), or it could be a component (i.e., winglet) or a structural innovation (i.e., method used for joining materials)
